Tomorrow is the Ellevation Show in Huntington Beach. I've been working for a couple of weeks getting ready for it. Here are a few pics of some of the shoes as I was getting price tags on them.

There is more zebra than anything else, as they are still the best sellers for me. I'm thinking leopard may be the pick for fall, so you'll be seeing more of that as I get some fall things created.
I'm off to Lowe's to get some paint for my display. More pics to follow with a show update on Monday. Have a great weekend!

I heard about this movie a few months ago and I'm so excited to finally see it. I'm staying home tonight and watching Pay Per View. The name of the movie is "Babies". Here are the four stars.

Aren't they just adorable! It's documentary style and follows the first year of life for these 4 babies. As I understand it, there's no talking in the movie, just the sounds that the babies make. Watch the trailer here to find out more. It also comes out on DVD on Aug 29. I might be the first in line.
Have a great weekend!

Here's a few hats I've been working on for the girls. I wanted a newsboy look with a twist. This one is called "Girly Girl"' and I love the soft feminine look in the combination of the fabrics. I'm thinking I'd like this one in a big girl size for me. This one is "Tutti Frutti" and matches my "Brite and Brown" sandals.

"Hip and Happy" is just a fun combination of orange, pink, and green that would be oh so cute with a bit of denim. Maybe a pair of high tops in the green fabric needs to be added to my to do list.
So that's the latest to come out of my sewing room. Tutti Frutti is listed on Etsy and I hope to get the other two listed soon.
Have a great weekend!

Here's the information regarding the sale that I will be doing in Huntington Beach on Sunday, August 29th. If you live in the area or will be visiting, please stop in and say hello. We're hoping to make this a monthly event so I'm really anxious to see how the first one turns out. Please click on the image to enlarge as I know it's hard to see the photos at this size. Hope to see you there!

This is what I've been spending all my extra time doing. I worked awhile back on a high top shoe pattern and have been perfecting it for some new boys shoes for fall. They are definately more work than the Mary Jane style for the girls, but I think they make a statement for the boys. This one is Mad for Plaid and is size 3-6 months.
Chasin' the Blues is another high top also in size 3-6 months.
I'm working on another high top in size 6-9 months, but had to stop to do these special orders for some Etsy customers. Don't know which one is my favorite. I really love all 3 of these fabrics.

So, that's what I've been working on and my unkempt house is proof that sewing is a priority right now. I'm doing a sale in Huntington Beach at the end of the month, so the housework will have to wait. I'll have more info on the sale soon.
